Trama

Una misteriosa malattia letale si è diffusa in tutto il mondo, con un conseguenze catastrofiche sull'umanità, e con la conseguente comparsa di attacchi causati da morti viventi. In Giappone, alcuni studenti delle scuole superiori e di una scuola di infermiere, si sono riuniti per sfuggire all'assalto degli zombie. Il gruppo tenta capire chi o che cosa è responsabile di questo flagello e, nel frattempo, cerca di sopravvivere all'apocalisse in atto.
L'anime si rifà palesemente al corrispondente filone horror cinematografico, non mancando di omaggiare pellicole come Dawn of the Dead e 28 Days Later, nonché videogiochi come Resident Evil 2
